When you go buy contact lenses (CLs), you need to choose a suitable pair out of ready-made lenses from various brands available on market. Since 1977, when we successfully measured surface topography of the entire cornea and created an automated hard contact lens (HCL) designing system, we have been producing custom-made lenses according to each individual's data. Furthermore, CLs are like part of the body, and so subtle changes in indirect factors such as physical condition and living environment of the wearer can affect the fit of CLs, leading to extra requests from the wearer in some cases.
