The history of Moria began in 1820 as a workshop for surgical instrumentation. In 1901, Mr. Moria started making ophthalmic surgery equipment and the business has since been established as a manufacturer of ophthalmic surgery equipment. In Japan, Moria's products have been distributed since around 1973 through trade companies. In order to achieve more user-oriented product development and better customer services (such as provision of academic papers) in Japan, Moria Japan K.K. was established on March 22, 2001.
